Support description:
Identification of metabolites from both in vitro test and in vivo animal
studies are often necessary in the discovery and pre-clinic development of a
drug candidate. In vitro experiments, using animal or human hepatocytes and
microsomes, can provide a rapid and cost-effective screening to identify
potential toxic metabolites.
Methods and procedure: After drug candidates (5 or 10 mM) reacting with
liver microsomes and hepatocytes for a fixed period of time,
major metabolites are profiled using MSn
technologies on triple quadruple and 3D Ion trap mass
spectrometers.
Data reporting: Major metabolites based on
the compound structure are reported. We would also monitor and report
other metabolite of interest upon customer's request.
